365 by Whole Foods Market

The first in the new chain of 365 stores, launched by Whole Foods Markets, across the country.

Vibrant wall and glass graphics in primary colors—inspired by the work of the late California Pop artist Corita Kent—are applied throughout the store to identify each section.

Transparent materials and exposed structural elements represent the honesty and purity of the 365 product brand.

An effort was made to use materials with sustainable properties, to reduce waste in materials and construction, and to expose the natural, inherent finishes.

Energy-efficient suspended LED lighting was approached as an installation, arranged in geometric patterns, unifying the various areas in the manner of the distinct installations of artist Dan Flavin. An acrylic blade centered within each fixture spreads beams of light.
