Incremental Sheet Metal Forming
“Incremental Forming” is a low cost and convenient way of producing small batches of sheet metal parts. In this project sponsored by Fiat S.p.A. Force analysis is made on 3-axis CNC machine with rotary dynamometer. Large set of data is analyzed with MATLAB. Key take-away: forming force decreases with increasing spindle speed.
