The LEFT VIEW shows the stretched, installed position whereby feeding solution flows freely.
The RIGHT VIEW shows the uninstalled position. Note that the "bullet" now prevents free flow by simply "pluging" the hole. Now feeding solution can not accidentally run out.
This patented idea cost about a half a cent per unit and spurred millions in sales.
