Coat stand with adjustable components along a spiral track for pleasure in function. Each stage of the product life-cycle was analysed thoroughly to determine how pleasure can be sparked and maintained to form an enduring user-product relationship. Many methodologies were development, proven from extensive research to be effective in producing the required levels of emotion. From these design methods, particular factors were selected to be combined into one project to achieve the best possible result. HELIXI is designed to grow with the user through their life by adapting to their ever changing needs in adjustment and ease in transportation by using no permanent fixings. Creativity, curvilinearity, functionality, simplicity, pleasure and originality are all important factors in the design of the spiraled track. Designed to be manufactured with ease on a 5 axis CNC router.

Routine daily interaction is key in sustaining HELIXI. Pleasure received from manipulating the component pieces emulates the same pleasure as children's educational toys. This feature creates an admirable aesthetic which when regularly used over time, can develop into dependency, with the user more reluctant to separate with the product.
HELIXI has 7 hangers following the spiral track which effortlessly slot into vertical channels positioned to ensure there can never be a hanger placed directly above another.
