The Snowflake Project
This is an ice-cream bar based on the concept of a snowflake. A snowflake has a central nucleus which is the core, the snowflake is crystalline and at times opaque and the snowflake changes form. Keeping this in mind the ice-cream bar was designed. As the kitchen is the main area in any restaurant the kitchen is kept at the centre or nucleus of the space. The spokes of the snowflake form the rest of the bar area. To replicate the changing of form a conveyors belt runs from the kitchen throughout the bar and back into the kitchen. The crystalline n opaque forms of the snow flake are reflected in the play of solid partitions and filigree partitions running throughout the bar. There is two types of lighting- direct and indirect inorder to set the mood.
