Coca-Cola / Beijing Olympic Games (poster) - 4meters x 1meter installation for The Coca-Cola Company at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. This one details Coke's water sustainability efforts, and was displayed throughout the Olympics season in the Coca Cola Pavilion inside the Olympic Green.

Sound & Screen (poster / illustration) - I organized, promoted, and hosted a series of film/video/music events at the Stone Boat Cafe, Ritan Park Beijing: video projections & live music in the center of a willow-lined lake. This is a version of the poster without the schedule. You can see the venue's stage at the bottom.

Mongrel Fog by Bob Marcacci (book cover) - This cover is for globe-hopping poet Bob Marcacci's collection of poems written in the San Francisco Bay area. Mixed media composite. Ink, map, paint, photos, hand-made sign, burnt paper edges. I made a big painted sign for the title, doused it with kerosene, lit it on fire, then photographed it :)

Green Grooves (concert series poster) - I organized, promoted, and hosted a monthly series of music/etc performances at Beijing's Stone Boat, Ritan Park. Performers included HangGai (http://www.hanggaiband.com.cn/), Chelsey Mark, Blackie, Gate, acrobats and poi spinners, the Driftwords Poets, and many more.

Valet / Smattering (concert poster) - I got my start in design in Minneapolis, MN. My best friend was organizing lots of shows all over the city, and I got to do the posters. This one is for a show at the Dinkytowner, where Bob Dylan often played. Lost my original FLAMING LIPS poster in an apartment fire. Coincidence?

Caught In The Act (theatrical poster) - Poster for Caught In The Act, a touring theatrical performance consisting of Beijing IMPROV, Beijing Actors Workshop, the Driftwords Poets, and others. This performance series launched at Beijing's famous Yugong Yishan. Elements: Old paper, cigarette butt, blood, antique police mugshot, african mask, antique handcuffs.

GtB 3 Standard - Logo / Graphic for Greening the Beige 3 - China's foremost eco-arts festival. Lots of animals in the tree: a cat, a seahorse, a cow, a buck(deer), a horse, a turtle, an elephant, 3 birds, 3 butterflies, 3 monkeys, 2 dolphins, a fish, and a lady with a parasol. More Greening the Beige 3 works in the GtB 3 set :)

Greening the Beige 1 (flagship graphic) - I helped organize and launch China's first Greening the Beige festival, and this is the full version of the logo and elements. I made every bit from scratch, including drawing the tree by hand (mouse and lasso). Look for all the hidden animals! Also, atop the wordmark is a real Beijing skyline from one physical perspective. The lotus is from Beijing's Xiang Shan (Fragrant Hills). The muted city view is looking south from Dongzhimen in the Chaoyang district. http://www.greeningthebeige.org

Driftwords Anthology cover - Montage of 20+ sources. Book cover for an international collection of poetry and prose in 4 languages. This was my project - conception, collection, editing, design, etc. Some contributors are famous writers & musicians, some published for the first time.

Nude (poster) - NUDE is a small art-object / couture house started with a friend in Beijing. I did a logo and some posters for the brand, mostly 80's-punk/sm/chinese-twist mockeries of classical 'fetishized' artworks.

Croisements Festival - Posters - Posters for France's Croisements Festival (in China). This was widely promoted in China, and could be found on billboards and bus shelters from Beijing to Shanghai to Hong Kong etc.

Croisements Festival - France puts more into promoting their arts/culture internationally than almost any other nation. Every year, The Republique of France holds a major performance festival (art, literature, dance, theater, etc), with hundreds of events in hundreds of cities. As Creative Director for its VI, graphics, & marketing initiatives, I worked closely with various departments to create a dynamic image for 2008's Croisements. ( http://www.ccfpekin.org/ )

Bush Kebab - This is a verbal pun in Mandarin Chinese "Bu shi bu shi, bu shi" - "If it's not Bush, I won't eat it". Roasted lamb kebabs are popular street food in Beijing, and thus the heads on sticks.
