Renovation of a multi-storey building

Renovation of a multi-storey project
The 5th semester project was a multi-storey building with 6 levels and 3 fire categories.
The basement hosts a technical room, a sauna with showers and changing rooms, a room for bicycles storage and storage units for every apartment.
The ground floor contains a shop, 2 offices, 2 apartments which are fit for the usage of disabled persons and 4 apartments which can be used by non-disabled tenants.
All superior levels contains 24 apartments per level.
The renovation scope was to improve a multitude of factors such as:
-accessibility by adding elevators.
- comfort by implementing garbage chutes with central eviction system;
- energetic efficiency of the building by adding more insulation in the building envelope and completely exchanging it from the roof level;
- thermal indoor climate by adding a ventilation system and new pipping;
- the legal status of the building by removing the roof made of asbestos.
