Modular Babyphone - After analyzing the current market of baby-phones. We noticed that the consumers demands for baby products where very divers. Some people want a very basic version and others want a full 24/7 spy gadget that monitors and regulates everything. Couldn't we give these 2 different people the same product and yet satisfy them both? A baby-phone that could be everything and nothing altogether...preferably for everyone ;)

BBQ + Outside heater - This outside heater-concept is derived from a regular common coal barbecue. I got frustrated with the fact that I needed to store the BBQ inside in the winter since there is no need for it when it’s freezing cold. On the other hand people are buying propane outside heaters for wintertime. Wouldn’t it be possible to change the barbecue so it could act as a heater in winter while still running on coals?

And people do get influenced by it suddenly everybody's 'cuisson' is in question. Now everyone needs to cook like a chef. But nobody can. Or do they? Wasn't it the famous chef Auguste Gusteau who said: "Everyone can cook". Or could we at-least make it a little easier?

self growing lamp - The idea of self-growing products isn't a original one nor an easy one. Some attempts have been made and there's some blue-sky-concepts out there. But none have really satisfied me because I couldn't grow them at home. You needed a chemistry degree, reactor tanks or an awful lot of time. Another motivation to this persuasion was to find out if we could mimic nature and create a very natural product by using natures set of rules?

'TROU' le table - This simple table concept gets rid of screws and other connective elements. This table is easily installed and de-assembled for storage by any user. Just put the legs through the table secure them with the 2 pieces of string and you are done. Benches and chairs could also be created by using this simple principle. I am working on a simple Xls-sheet and technical-drawing that should enable you to build the same kind of table with just a drill and a jig saw.

Spirographic drill - With this drill you no longer need tons of drillbits. Set the diameter and depth of the hole you want to drill place the 'spirodrill' on wherever you want to drill and Push it. This is just an idea I had and thought it might be a good subject to exercise my presentation skills. Oh and do enlarge lores really doesn't do it justice ;)

raincatcher - The raincatcher is a very special kind of umbrella. It has a second function/purpose. When it rains the raincatcher will unfold itself like a flower and catch the rain - hence the name ;) The caught water can be used to water your lawn and plants or to fill up the kiddy-pool of the little one.

rufus - Rufus is a water-boiler system incorporated in rooftiles. This modular solution lets you construct a whole piping system in which water can flow and thus be heated by the radiation-heat of the sun. This (free) hot water can be used to shower, do the dishes or heat the house.

fire-fighting-drone - ThePnX-drone is a standalone completely independent seak-and-destroy surveillance droid. It is conceived to patrol forest-fire-high-risk-areas. with lots of sensors and other heat-seaking equipment the droid can spot a match from miles away. All heat-sources are monitored and attended. When a fire starts the droid can quickly dose the fire. If it runs out of water it searches for the nearest water source and refills it's 'balloon' with another batch of extinguishing water.

dolphin-friendly-fishing-net - Dolphins and other animals get often caught in the nets of industrial fishing boats. They are collateral damage. This fishing-'net' derives its workings from nature itself. Whales use this 'bubble'-technique to catch large school of fish.

Inside-out zoo - In a current zoo you can go and watch animals in a cage, most of them will just sit there and do nothing all day. In wildparks the animals are much more active but you can almost never see them. Therefore this inside-out zoo where the people are in cages and the animals can freely roam.

zoo_antarctica - Underground in the Zoo large hallways of tunnels and corridors have lots of information and exhibits about current animals and extinct once. This hall features a robot-skeleton with holographic projection.

smellUlator - SmellUlator is a scent-recording device. Pull the cord and you can record a scent. The pillow will release its scent when pressed upon. With this device you can capture a certain scent on vacation. At home you can press the smellUlator or put it under your pillow to enjoy some vacation-memories/dreams. Unfortunately the technology to realize this concept is not yet available.

VACUüMBOT - Who will clean the vacuum-robot?

babyphone - The majority of current baby-phones have no difference in shape between the transmitter- and the receiver modules. This, and the fact that most of them are also cluttered with extra features you don’t need, make operating a baby-phone a real hassle and nuissance. This concept gets rid of al the extra features. Press the red-button and the device is active. The overall different look of the units makes differentiating them so much easier and worryfree.

Apple Tablet SLeeve - Conceptsketch of a sleeve for the new upcoming apple tablet. The sleeve offers protections but does also incorporate a keyboard (cfr Eleksen keyboards).

Harmonicar - Cars are Fun but they do have some downsides. They need a lot of (carbon) fuel and and they are big an bulky while most of the time it is just you in the car. Therefore: The Harmonicar. At first it looks like your average city car with an attitude. Not much room inside but enough. If you need more then the Harmonicar will extend it’s length over a full meter which is most of the time just enough to fit those things you couldn’t fit before.

space-colony-board-game - This boardgame derives lots of its gameplay and thus fun ;) from the classic-board games like RISK, monopoly and colonists of Catan. The innovative features in it are its circular board and upgradable pawns. The sci-fi setting and graphics make it an ideal board-games for geeks like me.
