Senior Capstone: Sustainable Hydrogen Production

Photovoltaic watersplitting for sustainable hydrogen production.

One of the major problems that arise with the increased use of renewable energies is that the energy sources are intermittent. To overcome this obstacle, we have to find an efficient method of energy storage that is just as sustainable as the energy we are trying to collect. Hydrogen has massive potential for storing energy but current methods of obtaining hydrogen either degrade the environment or are too expensive. My team worked to find an environmentally harmless and cost-effective way to produce hydrogen for this purpose.
