The Good Life - Private sit-out with hard – scaped exposed brickwork as flooring & hoordie block wall cladding add a touch of the ‘rustic’ as it was not possible to have a garden because the sit-out is located on the sump tank. The sit-out is interspersed with stone benches & a stone teapoy to further the rustic touch. The sit-out acts as a space expander to the living room.

Green Walls - Green walls are generally walls that are part of a building covered with vegetation. In most cases the vegetation is on the outside such as a creeper system with roots on the soil & with the chance to grow vertically. Studies have shown that there is a tendency for these walls to produce better cooling thus reducing our dependency on mechanical means. 

Contemporary Design - A 5 bedroom accommodation located on a 40 x 60 North facing site. Requirements of the client somehow grow to fit the size of the property in question. Provision for 2 cars is a must.. Juxtaposition of open spaces next to closed areas is a must to provide spatial relief for the inhabitants. A thoroughly contemporary façade consists of simple geometric shapes with colour playing a very important role.

Chicken Coop To A Human Coupe - The design brief was to convert an old disused chicken shed into a bachelor residence. The industrial nature of the building complete with truss-work & sheet roofing was to be retained with minimal construction or disruption.

Upcoming Project

The Shane Solomon Residence - Located on a small 40' x 55' N-facing site. Planning has been based on an open - format to visually enhance the size of the internals & give it that spatial quality so crucial to define a space without boundary. Continuing the same theme on the vertical, we have generated a split - level plan which unifies the building with visual connectivity as well as providing extra space on a limited site size.

Contemporary Approach - Veneer panelling was used to provide an aura of richness yet remained sleek to provide a minimalist feel.
