The drill press was completed for Industrial Design 4 as part of a group project to create a range of products for a fictional workshop tools manufacturer, Outil Atelier. The product range was to feature an aesthetic style reflecting the quality based nature of the brand.
Distinctive features were continuous across the range of products to create a brand identity. As well as the colour scheme, features such as the thick orange stripe surrounding the drill; the distinctive workbench shape and beveled logo; the button shape and position; as well as the adjustable wheels and handles, were used across the entire range of products.
