Kent C is a low floor inner-city bus operating lots of cities including Istanbul. It has two design awards; Design Turkey 2010 and Busworld Kortrijk ECW 2011. I took part in the design of many parts both exterior and interior.
The vehicle has wireless internet access and also LCD monitors that informs the passangers about the bus stops, route, road and weather conditions, and etc. For all interior trimming, colors and the textures are harmonized with same design language and they have a robust and modern design with its characteristic cutting-edge lines.
I designed a modular interior roof system integrated with air duct, illumination, audio and passenger information system. This system, assembled with hidden fixing elements, gives a pure and modern appereance and allows an easy and fast maintenance when it is needed. It also offers an option of the polycarbonate panels with labels and pictograms, that are lighted with the use of electroluminescence technology (2009).
