This motion graphic was created as the culmination of a project exploring the exchange of audio and visual information. Having an interest in the crossroads of visuals and audio, I began by finding a program that allowed me to input images and export audio files created from those images. By studying how the program interprets an image to create sound, I created over 100 sound explorations varying from simple tones to complex patterns and melodies. I then took these audio files and input them into an electronic music production program, utilizing the audio as musical samples. From these samples I created the audio for this motion graphic. I then recycled the imagery created for the experiments and used them as playful forms for the creation of the motion graphic. This project is really exciting for me because it has so much potential for growth and expansion.
