The theme, Recycle and Up-Cycle, has been given to us in order to create a project that has to consider the relation between being environmentally friendly and cautiously functional. Basically, it is a project in which has been developed to reach an outcome in terms of having a better quality of something, which in my case is an architecture design. The concept has been created along these five weeks project. I have came up with the idea of up-cycling the selfridges façade, which is situated on Oxford Street in London, using recycled materials. This site has been chosen, because of its famous location as well as being a well-known place for tourists.
The intention of this project is to make up a new design for the front façade of Selfridges. This new design has to be related to the environment, nature and it also has to be eco-friendly, sustainable and to involve biotecture. The heading invented for this project is called 'BEING', which means 'Build Environmentally in Green'.
