The project, called 'Central Square', was designed during my studies at the college in the year of 2007. It was created during my leisure time. The reason to create this project was to renew the center of the city of Santos, in Brazil. The area is surrounded by buildings which were constructed in the far past. The plan was to build a place where people would have their break off the work to chill out and it also would be used for the open-market on weekends. The Central Square, located at the historic center, would be created to modify the structure of the urban design used to be inserted in the city. Another good point is that residents and workers, who live on its surrounding, would prevent the degradation of the area. In conclusion, lots like this one would not be filled with several car parks.
