The challenge is to carry out sustainability and energy audit of your department building and evolve a design which will make it zero-energy premises and an autonomous structure. You could choose to retrofit the existing structure or begin afresh with the existing site plan. Your design solution should justify your choice.
Points to remember:
- Ensure the practicality of your solution given the current scenario of our built environment: available materials and technology. The solution should have the scope of implementation if possibility arises.
- A comparison between the existing performance and the proposed scheme would be required to understand the efficacy of the solution.
