One of the things which has been enhanced after taking up the design course as my specialisation is to observe, dive deep and examine the potential flaws and then try to rectify them as a personal challenge. These observtions help in theorizing a design decision. McDonalds just like many other food chains near our institute is widely used by many lazy, or people with no time or will to go to mess, to order food online as it is cheap and has quick delivery. Even I fall in the same league. In my attempt I have tried to create a better online food ordering experience. I have proposed a new home page layout of the McDelivery website. There are still many aspects which i did not get a chance to touch upon.
Why Mc Delivery is used? - To order food online - Track orders - Check Offer details - Ordering in bulk - Exploring Menu - Locating stores - Downloading app
Current Screen Scrolled Down Screen
What are the potential problems? - The amount of visual work that a user might have to do find and go to register button / login button might be more. - Login, explore menu, offer details all lie on the same side of the page (right hand side) without any peculiar colour or font distinction, hence confusion might arise. Also it is difficult to judge which is the primary function of that particular page. - Due to the present layout of the page (because the promo offers occupy a major portion of the screen) its not clear that there are further options (like store locator & track order) users can explore when they scroll down the page. - Party or bulk orders seems like it has been put more emphasis due to the colour and amount of space it occupies in the same right column where other options are present as well. McDelivery Revisited

In this project the home page of McDelivery has been redesigned. Initially the primary purpose of that particular page was identified, then potential problems were identified to theorize a design decision.
