For the Bearden Cityscape project we viewed the artist Romare Bearden, an artist during the Harlem Renaissance, who created great pieces of artwork using simple shapes and colors to represent something. Most of his artwork revolves around the African American life. His work would mostly consist of collage and oil paintings.
For my Bearden Cityscape project i used layer mask to make the person in the foreground, layer style for the windows, and adjustment layers for for the sky and background. I live on 55 west end ave, a nice neighborhood, next to the Hudson River. My favorite part of the project is finishing the project and see the hard work I have done. During the Bearden Cityscape project I have learned that you not only can recreate what you see in Photoshop, but you can also do it nondestructively. When making the project I made sure that the project rubric was in mind so that I get the best results on my project, because of this I have meet the rubric requirements.
