Key sketch-the most important view in my development process
Designing from the top view - to achieve front to back flow. ( Sketch over Maya soft model) - The Ockelbo Poro is part of a sponsored assignment for Swedish company Ockelbo. The aim - to present a series of full scale foam and 1/3 scale clay models to present to investors.
Fine tuning - Maya poly model underlay proved extremely valuable in speeding up my visualisation process. Particularly since I had never sketched a sled before.
Pre-clay mid- review - presentation 3D - The Ockelbo Poro is part of a sponsored assignment for Swedish company Ockelbo. The aim - to present a series of full scale foam and 1/3 scale clay models to present to investors.
Rear 3/4 with track and bogey reference template - Heres a glimpse into the filthy innards of the clay design process
Profile - Balancing the stance and visual weight of my wrapping surface - Heres a glimpse into the filthy innards of the clay design process
Mirrored top view, where you find out how inaccurate building a half model is! - Heres a glimpse into the filthy innards of the clay design process
Rear suspension integrating with seat - Heres a glimpse into the filthy innards of the clay design process

Mid- review - 1/3 clay model. - To be evaluated for full scale testing. A work in progress as I scan and move into Alias.

In action - My first try at rendering an in-context scene. Alias model rendered in Keyshot 2 with backplate and then attacked in Photoshop
A shot showing the separation of surfacing including wrapping around one of the electric motors.
Top view - perspective - The most important view for me in the design process. Describing the harmony from front to rear in a teardrop form.
Carving in dry powder - The beauty of riding an electric snowmobile- - the ability to hear the crackle of new snow as you carve it up.
Showing long-track and rear suspension treatment.
