I worked in an internship with FIU for 5 weeks. During those five weeks, I was able to learn most of the basics of CSS and HTML code and was able to learn how to set up a database. With these Basics, we were able to create a website called BEAM, which stands for Building Environment Assessment Map. Our teachers helped us with bits and parts but we did the majority of it. By m, aking this website we wanted to help FIU with the problem of COVID cases and to help inform the workers and really anybody that goes FIU about which buildings were infected and which were undergoing sterilization. We believed that with this website FIU would have been able to keep track of which buildings have been infected, and the public would have been informed of a building still undergoing sterilization and stray away from these buildings.
