THE WOMB - The origin of life from nothingness...all around...
Part of a design collection called 'bios' , which constituted of three basic aspects of survival-Evolution, Reproduction and Predator-Prey relationship..
The Womb - The fabric used was 100% polyester and I had used 'shibori' to get the Scarlett color in the center. Crimping was achieved by heat setting the fabric before the final construction,owing to the property of the fiber, the fabric retains the shape given post heat setting..
The drape is actually a tube placed horizontally across the body..
The Womb - It was selected for 'World of Wearable Art' awards , held every year in New Zealand..
