Etruria and Rome had a huge change of fashion influence today. In the ancient, The strophium is a band of fabric that supported the breasts, and the subligaria is a loincloth, were worn as undergarment by women. Nowaday, it is similar today especially the strapless bra, but have added support such as straps, underwire and now sports bars. The similarities in the garments are the use of holding the chest area. The modern version of the strophium looks like bands of fabric very tightly composed.
