This is my engineer project. It was started on Politecnico di Milano during the Erasmus exchange programme, and was completed at the University if Technology in Gdansk, Poland. Conceptual design coauthor was Zofia Zajdzinska. This is the project of the elderly house located in Gaggiano. Gaggiano is a small city at the suburbs of Milan. It is situated along the “Naviglio grande” canal.
The most important aim of the project was to provide the pensioners with comfortable and secure place to live and, at the same time, leave them as much freedom as possible. The building is divided into some zones – private, semiprivate and public. In the south part of the lot, there is a large private park, where pensioners can spend their time.
