Shard Lamp

This lamp is part of a series of explorations into the use of fiberglass for lighting design. Largely used for technical applications in cars and boats, this material is commonly covered by paint. In a collaborative study, Zach Jenkins and I searched for the aesthetic strengths of fiberglass when left raw. This lamp utilizes flat sheets of two different types of cured fiberglass: twill versus matt weave, and polyester resin versus epoxy.
