Urban Composting
In this project I worked together with Industrial designer Alessandro Boldrin tackling the issue of Urban Composting. We created a flat-packable cardboard bin with compost enhancing properties and a round, insulated compost bin made from a wood-plastic composite. When the cardboard bin is full of organic waste this can simply be placed entirely within the large compost bin. Once this compost bin is full and the compost has matured for about 3 months the compost bin can be turned into a plant pot. Instead of your organic waste creating carbon dioxide on landfills, you are now creating clean oxygen!
