An ergonomic study on Working conditions of loco pilots focused on the stress .
Even in many accident cases of trains work stress on loco pilot was mentioned as one of the main cause.
We chose to work on the pressure under which a loco pilot has to notice the passing by railway signals, decode it and make further travel plan when a train is at 120km /hr or hot summers or foggy winters.
The suggested schematic rail route display senses the nearest railway signal , decode it for the loco pilot and asks for an acknowledgement from the pilot and provide an update to the station master so that in case of any wrong decoding / negligence a fast action is possible.
This helps with decreasing stress and also provides better working conditions to loco pilots by not wanting them to bend out and keep looking for a signal in long working hour, non stop trains that provide them with no break and odd weather conditions.
