Untitled 1 - This is a non objective piece. Material used: Acrylic paint. The Inspiration was the seasons of India; Summer, Winter, Rainy, and Spring. And the Strips of brown represents the trunk of the coconut trees in Kerala, my native home in India. It shows the cycle of the seasons, of nature. I was inspired because even though I am Indian I have never been able to experience that whole cycle of season in India.
Untitled 2 - This is a non objective piece. Materials used: Coconut shells, Acrylic paint. This piece was inspired a South Indian dish called, Appam. The first coconut shows the rice plant with water, soil, sun. The second coconut shows the ripened rice plant which is yellow. The third coconut shows the raw grinded stage of the rice plant. The fourth coconut shows the final dish Appam which is also made in a concave cooking dish. The piece again shows the cycle of life.

Still Life - This is a realism piece. And it was inspired by artist Rachel Ruysch's still life works.
Self Portrait - Material used: Water color, Charcoal This is a self portrait showing my culture, and religion. The yoga position shows my Indian culture, the sun and the fire symbolizes purity in my religion Hinduism and the green in the background represents the greenery in India.
Observational Sketch 4 - Material used: Charcoal, Pencil. This is a sketch that I did on my living room. This sketch was done in 30-40 minutes.
Observational Sketch 5 - This sketch was done in about 15-20 minutes of a girl in my school library.
Kerala's scenery - Material used: Oil paint. This picture was taken from a source and it depicts a beautiful sun set similar to my native place, Kerala.
Hare Krishn - Material used: Oil Paint. This piece depicts the God I worship, Krishn, when he was a child. It was exciting to do this piece because unlike the traditional way of painting Krishn in a very scenic background, I changed the composition and the usually brightly colored background. The scene from the window as well displaying nature was experiment with colors; which is not too bright like the traditional Indian style and too yellow like the renaissance.
Option - This is a dream i had where a guy proposed to marry me since girls in my culture are usually married early. The white girl is me, saying no to the guy proposing to me. In his world, everything is based around family and home. Whereas my world is empty. My future is not set, i have to build everything on my own. This is represented by the blocks needed to build my house. The cube, the 3-d triangle, and the door. And this is what I want, to build my own future and world.
