The smaller backpacks offer a lightweight, agile solution and the larger backpacks a more comfortable wearing experience for carrying heavier loads. Whatever the Alpine activity, each pack requires flexible packing options and intelligent features to maximise comfort and function.
Custom-made buckles make it simple to convert the side compression straps into side stowage straps, or front fixing straps for a rope or snowboard - by simply unclipping and re-clipping them across the body of the backpack. When not in use, the buckles and straps can be concealed in hidden pockets, while the ice axe fixations and hip belt are also removable. This flexibility creates a clean look and in addition, minimises the possibility of the backpack getting snagged whilst being hauled up the rock face.
