Electrolux Product Knowledge Challange - With the recent introduction of its new appliance line, Electrolux had a busy sales force to train. They needed a training piece that would encourage sales people to learn about the new line. Working with our marketing specialist, I created a sales incentive program complete with comprehensive training brochure, challenge quiz and gift incentive. The result: an all-encompassing training guide that trains a large, scattered sales force enabling consumers to receive consistent messaging.

EPICz Sales Manual - Whirlpool’s Maytag brand was introducing a new laundry pair and needed a sales training tool. The challenge: create material for a sales force that was still learning about the Maytag brand. I attended a product teardown and obtained input from the sales force. They wanted an all-encompassing training piece highlighting key messages, features and benefits. Using past experience, I combined several training pieces into a cohesive and informative brochure that was a hit with the sales force.
Iowa Speedway Newton Club Brochure - Iowa Speedway was under construction and under pressure to sell tickets for the Newton Club. The challenge: design a brochure with the excitement of motorsports and exclusivity of The Newton Club. This was more challenging because there was no photography or established brand, only a logo. To reflect the high-end feel of the club I used dull and gloss varnishes to add depth to images, foils and embossing to enhance the logo and rich, textured black paper reminiscent of the track.
Grinnell Architectural Walking Tour Guide - Grinnell is a town rich in history and architecture and the Convention and Visitors Bureau needed a branded informational piece that allowed individuals to take self-guided architectural tours. The challenge: design a brochure that was informative, easy to read and easy to follow. Adhering to Grinnell's brand, I created a brochure with full-color photos and descriptions as well as a map with numbers and letters corresponding to each of the architectural sites, making them easy to find.
Encompass by Pella "Race to the Summit" Incentive Program Overview - With multiple prizes, varying levels of participation and a sales force scattered across the nation, Pella Corporation's incentive program to encourage sales of vinyl windows needed to be compelling, yet simple to understand. Working closely with Pella executives and keeping with brand standards, I used enticing imagery and copy to develop an easy-to-understand program overview that engaged the sales people and helped increase sales.
Skiff Medical Center Digital Mammography Brochure - Skiff Medical Center contacted me to help promote their new digital mammography equipment and build awareness of breast cancer issues. I worked with a copywriter to develop the theme Celebrating Saving Lives focusing on the positive aspects of the subject. Images of multiple generations, delicate graphics and a gentle color palette worked together to generate a sophisticated campaign that included direct mail, television spots and newspaper ads.
Grinnell Community Daycare & Preschool Campaign Brochure - Seeking to entice potential donors, the Grinnell Community Daycare and Preschool asked me to design a brochure that was compelling yet captured the expressive nature of the children they serve.
