urbanspring - urbanspring is a campaign to bring more nature into the city by helping people learn how to grow gardens, incorporate more nature into their homes and offices, install roofgardens and generate awareness for environmental issues. I designed and produced all campaign materials as well as wrote all copy included in the pieces. This was my senior BFA project.

urbanspring poster series - Awareness Poster A bad mood negatively affects your decisions and actions. Solution: Spend some time with nature. Being in a bad mood can cause you to make decisions or act in ways you wouldn’t have had you been in a better mood. Flowers and plants have an immediate and lasting positive effect on how we feel and react. Research shows that people who receive flowers or plants enjoy a more positive mood for a full 3 days after receiving them.
urbanspring poster series - Awareness poster. Ugly workplaces result in reduced productivity. Solution: Introduce nature into the working environment. Environments lacking in visual appeal contribute to the inability to concentrate, focus, and perform tasks efficiently. Introducing plants into the working environment is an easy and cost-effective way to enhance the interior decor of an indoor space.
urbanspring poster series - Awareness Posters The air indoors is 5 to 7 times more polluted than the air outdoors. Solution: Bring nature indoors. Pollutants accumulate indoors due to poor ventilation and circulation. Bringing in a few plants is an easy way refresh indoor air. Plants are nature's air purifiers, filtering out unpleasant smells, harmful toxins, and pollutants.
urbanspring promotional materials - One of urbanspring's objectives is to inform people of the many benefits interaction with nature has on both the environment and people. This piece would be set out in a public space, free for the taking by people strolling by. It would introduce urbanspring to them as well as give them a free plant and information to take care of it. Each plant would have one card.
