This is the presentation board which I designed for this project. By mimicking certain KLARUS advertisements already in circulation in layout and style, I have managed to fit their brand identity, whilst also showing my product in context.
My finished prototype. This is the finished model which I am most proud of, due to its surface finish, quality of assembly and full functionality.
This view shows the underside of my prototype and the central button which controls the light's different functions; solid, intermittent flashing, and delayed flashing.
This shows the internal structure of my safety light. The brief specified I must use an existing PCB and so I designed the casing to be as small as possible, for a more secure fit and to also save material usage. Ribs are used in conjunction with a supported screw boss, and a lip and groove to hold the PCB tightly in position.

MTB Cycle Safety Light

This was my most recent piece of university work. The brief we were set was to create a bike light for a specific brand trying to branch into a new market, using a PCB already in production. I chose KLARUS, a specialist torch manufacturer and geared my design towards mountain bike users who need hard wearing equipment which is not easily damaged through impacts.
