Enough room had to be left in the corridor to allow people to walk by, but also room was required for the door at the top of the flight to open outwards.
Design of the balustrades needed to be considered due to the curvature of the glass panel.

Draughting project - Small staircase at the Savvis Data Centre
A small staircase was required for the Savvis Data Centre in London. The requirement for it was to fit in a small hallway, but leave enough room for the door at the top of the staircase to open onto it. This meant the Finish Floor Level of the staircase had to line up well with the level of the room.
