Long Axis profile was shaped as an A to prevent bridge from collapsing laterally.
Semicircular arc maximizes the amount of members in tension and distributes the shear force evenly through the main supporting arcs.
Main support arcs used an 8 spaghetti configuration where 7 strands were arranged around a central strand. through testing this was found to have the highest strength to weight ratio.
Reinforcement at end points to prevent failure where downward forces were concentrated.

Spaghetti Bridge

Using only spaghetti and Elmer's glue, designed a bridge with as high critical load to weight ratio as possible. Through testing, it as determined that common uncooked spaghetti has a much higher tension strength than shear strength. Design maximized use of members in tension while distributing the shear force.
