For a college assignment I was asked to do an interactive map which utilized Flash Action script 3.0 and Illustrator. We were free to pick a television show or movie of our choice and make an interface and map which depicted areas in which the main characters visited. I decided to do Twelve Kingdoms which is a Japanese anime. The world in which the characters live is an island in the shape of a diamond surrounded by four separate islands with a central land mass in the direct middle. These islands are all surrounded by a turbulent ocean which is said in the story to connect the real world Japan to this fantasy realm.
Each of the icons are programed as buttons and gives a quick description of the area and its significance.
