Student Work: Healthcare Design for Residents with Alzheimer's
COMPLETED 2015
The North Hill Continuing Care Retirement Community is looking to expand their campus by creating a town center and attached Alzheimer's disease memory care unit to accommodate more residents with specific memory health requirements that will support the needs of its residents as they age, as well as the staff members and visitors. The community is seeking a facility that is flexible, safe, and welcoming to all user groups and encourages residents to interact socially with one another in a calming environment that incorporates universal design, ADA standards, sustainable elements, and color theory.
