Canadian Postage Stamp Commemorating Chinese New Year - The objective was to visually embody characteristics that are associated with a certain ‘year-of-the’ animal. The monkey is meddlesome and too curious for his own good. The bored and meddlesome monkey has positioned himself to steal the brightest fruit in the beautiful garden the consequences for which he has not considered. All imagery is hand-rendered in the tradition of handcrafts in Chinese culture, e.g. calligraphy, papermaking, etc.
