Japanese inspired hotel suite
When the project of renovating a hotel suite came up,
the way the Japanese interiors always create a sense of relaxation and calmness became my inspiration.
Through research, I found that the key features of the Japanese interiors were calm colors with the use of light wood and the occasional use of black, the use of partitions that allow light though them and the use of wood on the ceilings.
The colors that dominate the suite are warm white, light wood and the use of black in certain details. In this color scheme, grey is added to break the contrast of light colors and black. The partitions of fabric and wood are key features of the space that extends on the ceiling of the living area of the suite.
