IIDA NE Fashion Show 2013

The theme for the IIDA NE Fashion Show Gala in 2013 was “Aged to Perfection”, as the New England chapter of the Association’s was celebrating it’s fifteenth anniversary. For our entry, the Endicott team decided on a concept of “Timeless Tales”, using Snow White, Romeo and Juliet, and The Great Gatsby as inspiration. Each design was representative of the prevalent concepts in each tale: For Snow White, it was Innocence and Corruption; for Romeo and Juliet, it was Duality (love vs hate, family vs lover, “us” vs “them”, etc); and for The Great Gatsby, it was Old Money/New Money.

I conceptualized and designed our entries, and then worked with the rest of the team to construct them. I specifically created and built the Snow White collar/cape, and assited on the accessories for the Great Gatsby and Romeo and Juliet costumes.
