Our final concept, the TALN mounting solution for personal tablet-sized monitors. The system clamps onto any table, has four flexible joints, and has a removable head that can protect and support the tablet on a tabletop. Our presumption of future technology is that most professionals will have their own tablet that they use at home, work, and on-the-go. The tablets of the future will have a universal charging plate. The circle in the center of the head of the TALN arm represents a charging station of the future. Upon contact with the charging plate on the back of the tablet, the system is able to charge the device.
For use at home...
...or at the office.
The head of the system can easily be removed from the arm and carried to a meeting.
One idea before the TALN was a two-armed mounting system for multiple devices.

TALN - Computer Monitor Mounting Solution

This project was a challenge sponsored by Innovative Office Products, a company that designs computer monitor mounting solutions. I was the team manager for this project as a Junior student. My teammates were one Freshman, one Sophomore, and one Senior. We were asked to design a mounting solution for the computer technology that will exist in 2016-2021 (5-10 years from the time of the project). The first images shown here are of our final concept, the TALN. After those images I have included images of a few of our earlier concepts, including a mounting system that supports multiple devices, as well as a system designed to mount large-scale monitors (65"-90")
