Initial character design concepts for the "Year of the Hero" theme that the PrairieCon XXXV committee decided to go with. The idea was to have a different superhero to represent each of the four categories of tabletop games. I wanted to push the theme, but also make it clear that these characters were associated with tabletop gaming, so I kept their designs simple.

Promotional poster for Gamesdays, a local event hosted 3 times each year by PrairieCon. The theme of PrairieCon XXXV was "Year of the Hero." I used a mix of typography, graphic design and illustration to create this poster, which is a parody of the cover of the very first X-Men comic. I also researched the printing techniques that were used in comics from that era to recreate the 60s vibe.
