Advanced Buckles - UTS is a well-known manufacturer of OEM sporting goods based in Taiwan. They came to Gamil to re-invent the category of buckles for backpacks and apparel. Gamil has since developed an inventive product line and marketing approach utilizing UTS strengths to make customized solutions for the biggest brands in the market. Trek Batcage - Trek needed to address problems with its existing plastic bottle cage: it was too heavy, not inexpensive, and it was known as the “ejector” cage amongst the mountain bike crowd. The solution designed and engineered by Gamil used Nylon12 to great effect and created a stronger non-ejecting design using less material. Additionally, Gamil was able to design the part so that no sliders were needed in the mold. This reduced cycle times significantly- leading to a 40% cost savings.
