Seedesign was invited to develop a design firm's loft space within an historic section of downtown Boston .We had a constrict of the building's 300 year history which needed to be maintained in contrast to our client's need to be seen as both innovative and out side the box. The two aesthetics needed to live in balance . Our solution was to design spaces where the extreme contrast between the two needs created the harmony through their juxtaposing natures .The contemporary shapes where inspired by the new company brand direction with it's less formal more approachable attributes .Functionally we needed to focus attention on visually bringing areas together. Being that the space was so disconnected we needed a metaphoric thread to link the energy of the whole office .
