The subject chosen here was Filipino Children's Books for their vibrant palette and rich narratives that portray their local culture and traditions.
The Challenge: To be able to assign a book to its corresponding letter and to portray the story whilst imitating the visual style of each story.
To create an overall unified look to the alphabet despite its diversity of books and color.
The Process: Accessing a library to get image references for each story and to search the right book for each letter. Aided by the Internet to hasten research
Media used: Oil Pastels and colored pencils to best portray the images' vibrancy and overall festive look
