I was just as excited as the rest of the world when Prince William and Kate Middleton announce their engagement, but when I searched for an image of their wedding invitation, I was very disappointed in their choice. I felt that this young modern couple needed a really fun invitation design that would display their love for each other as well as their personalities. I was inspiration by a love bird theme and decided to created these birds out of raindrop shapes. I then went back and created a pattern that was used on both the inside of the invitation and the back of the invitation using this bold shape. The final product ended up being a really fun, minimalistic, modern invitation that I feel the royal couple would have loved to use for their wedding.
