Nightshade Viral Marketing Campaign
An innovative marketing campaign for Penguin Books meant to engage fans in anticipation for Andrea Cremer's 2010 novel Nightshade. Working with the New York marketing company Campfire, I was tasked with designing a coded message spread out in various random antique books that reveal cryptic clues as to the backstory of Cremer's Nightshade universe. The coded books were meant to embody the witchcraft and fantasy found in the novel. The books were then sent out to various horror fiction bloggers who had to work together to reveal the entire message.
