In the design of Mona-chair there were a couple of design goals; it should be efficient to manufacture, which is done almost entirely by CNC router leaving only finishing of the edges to be done later, since plywood is pre-treated. Logistics are also taken in consideration; Mona can be assembled and disassembled entirely without tools or adhesives therefore it is easy to assemble or disassemble and can be delivered to the customer in a very compact package and later disassembled again for storing or moving.
