THE LAKE HOUSE
The mid-century dwelling was dubbed The Lake House for its proximity to Greenlake in the Seattle area. The unit offered charming features such as the original floor to ceiling flagstone fireplace, entry, & dining flooring, an open floor plan, & loads of natural light. Unusually textured walls & an accordion screen added interest.
However charming this all seemed, it needed a lot of work. By painting accent colors, upgrading the windows and trim, refreshing the bathrooms with new lighting, fixtures, & mirrors, to developing curb appeal with a custom designed fence & market lights, this little Lake House is now both functional & beautiful.
Additional projects such as recovering chairs, installing shelving for a bar area, to beautifying the kitchen cabinet interiors, & implementing vintage finds showcase unexpected solutions for a smaller dwelling space. Constant analyzation of storage systems, organization, & editing keeps the space evolving & morphing as needs change.
