The existing tile floor with a slate boarder was my inspiration. (This floor was a project I completed over 10 years ago!)

The fireplace is what really started it all. Years ago the client wanted to update their kitchen floor. At that time I integrated the slate boarder with the neutral tile to create a clean and simple look. When they were ready to upgrade their countertops and backsplash, they called me back. Staying consistent with the slate accent maintains the Northwest warm pallet that's evident throughout the home.
