Business Process Automation and Customer Relationship Management
The purpose of this API is to provide an interface between a MySQL database and a
variety of applications on multiple platforms (for example a desktop client
application for office-use, a website and a mobile app). It provides a basic set of
public and protected methods to be called by client applications in order to access,
modify or add database records.
The basic idea behind this API server is to outsource all database interaction for
increased performance and scalability. To employ an API furthermore ensures that
an application does not require direct access to the database server. API functions
only need to be developed once and can be called from any application, new
features become available to all platforms and applications with every revision of
the API framework.
