Basilique du Sacre Coeur, Paris, France - 2009. This is one of the first prints in a series that came out of my interest in mapping systems, satellite photography, global access to information via the Internet, the role of vision in spiritual experiences and the related psychological displacement experienced with optical art. Untitled Map A: Southern Illinois - 2010. Continuing with the theme of physical location and psychological awareness, these prints play with visual perception; shifting between pattern and representation, they create a somewhat meditative experience. Source image appropriated from Google Maps.

Negresco Bldg. Nice, France - Screen shot of image-generation process for kaleidoscopic animation. Within Photoshop, I set up a series of actions that generate 10 sequential frames at a time, from the original source image, with one click of a button. Truthfully, I am more interested in creating the system that generates the imagery than in the final images themselves.

BodyEnergy - 2010. In this installation piece, I was interested in curating found objects as a way of creating relationships that allow the viewer to find meaning for themselves (obviously, a Duchampian exercise).

im_mediate - 2010. Illustration for projection/performance proposal. Since my collaborative partner (Derek Smith) and I have mixed feelings on documenting ephemeral forms of art, I chose to use these illustrations, instead of photographic documentation, to represent the experience. Our main interests were in communicative distance and physical intimacy.
